Afghanistan and Uzbekistan Sign 25 Agreements Worth $2.5 Billion

As a result of Uzbekistan's delegation visit to Kabul, 25 agreements and memorandums of understanding totally worth $2.5 billion were signed.
The exhibition of products and Manufactures, along with the Afghan-Uzbek business forum, concluded with the signing of 25 agreements and memorandums of understanding between the governments and members of the private sectors of both countries, valued approximately $2.5 billion.
In the closing ceremony of the said event, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, emphasized on the agreement to increase trade volume between both countries, develop joint infrastructure, energy, mining, services, etc. He stated that the exhibition provided an inimitable opportunity to deepen the ties between the two countries.
Mr. Al-Haj Azizi added, that the Republic of Uzbekistan granted a discount percentage of 10 to 75 on the exports of Afghanistan and provided facilities like markets for the country's export goods, allowing us to export goods to Central Asian countries and China at reasonable prices.
The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, mentioning the achievements of the Afghan government and private sector delegation to Republic of Uzbekistan and the holding of the exhibition of products and manufactures as well as business forum in that country, stated that, during the visit of the delegation of Republic the of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, 25 agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two governments and members of the private sector, worth approximately $2.5 billion, were signed.
Moreover, the first deputy of Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Afghanistan Mr. Mohammad Younus Mohmand, the honorable ambassador of Republic of Uzbekistan residing in Kabul, Mr. Khuwaja Yadgar Shadmanov, the president of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Friendship Chamber Mr. Khanjan Alkozay and a board member of Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Afghanistan, Mr. Haji Khairuddin Mayel talked about the delegation of Republic of Uzbekistan's visit to Kabul, and their achievements, the business forum between the two countries and the exhibition of products of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kabul.
