The Afghanistan-Czech-Slovak Business-Investment Association meeting began in Prague, Czech Republic

The 1st meeting of the Afghanistan-Czech-Slovak Trade-Investment Forum was hosted by the Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Transport of the Czech Republic with the presence of Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and their accompanying delegation the Prague Czech Republic began.
This meeting will last for two days; Mr. Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and his accompanying delegation discussed with the officials and private sector of the Czech Republic and Slovakia the opportunities and challenges of trade and joint venture relations between Afghanistan and these countries.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Mr. Ghoryani said, the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appreciate the military, political and economic assistance provided by the Czech Republic and Slovakia over the past 20 years.
Emphasizing the increase in trade between Afghanistan and the two republics, the Minister of Industry and Commerce added, the IR of the Afghanistan Government wants to increase the export of its products to these countries.
Mr. Ghoryani also briefed investors in the two countries on investment opportunities in Afghanistan and asked them to invest in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Mr. Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mr. Ataullah Nasib, Head of Investment Unit and General Director of the National Procurement Office, briefed Czech and Slovak investors on investment opportunities in the mining sector, simplification of investment processes, and procurement projects in Afghanistan.
Mr. Ghoryani, MoIC Minister, who headed a high-level government-private sector delegation to discuss trade-investment opportunities in two European countries (the Czech Republic and Slovakia), visited Prague with officials from the Ministries of Economy, Industry and Trade and the private sector and will discuss on the expansion of Afghanistan's economic, industrial and trade-transit relations with these countries.
