Afghanistan to Increase Exports to China

Kabul –Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, met with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Afghanistan Mr. Zhao Xing.
During the meeting, both parties stressed ensuring trade balance between the two countries. During the meeting discussions were also made on increasing Afghanistan’s exports to China, specially pine nuts, pomegranates, and precious stones such as nephrite, onyx, lapis lazuli, talc, and other products. The discussions aimed at facilitating direct exports to China in order to reduce transportation costs for Afghanistan’s export goods, as well as to import necessary machinery for enhancing the country's various economic sectors.
In the conclusion, both countries agreed to establish a joint working group to enhance coordination, enhance trade ties, and create necessary trade facilitation measures through regular meetings.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan is committed to developing economic and trade ties with various countries to promote national exports and strengthen the country’s economy.
