President at the First Cabinet Meeting: The private sector is an important partner of the government

The first electronic cabinet meeting chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, was held on the occasion of Afghanistan Digital Week.

In this meeting, HE. President said, the private sector is an important partner of the government, and solving the problems of this sector is a priority for the Government.

Mr. President added, the private sector played a vital role in controlling the price of primary materials needed by the citizens of the country.

His Excellency instructed the MoIC and MoF, that both ministries should work together to solve the problems of the private sector and provide the necessary room for the expansion of their activities and to address all the problems of the private sector.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, intending to manage the market and provide the primary materials, has prepared a plan for the preparation of strategic primary material reserves in cooperation with the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the Economy and Private Sector.

The plan was prepared in several meetings with the participation of representatives of mentioned ministries and representatives of the Afghanistan Chambers Federation, and various representatives of the private sector, and soon this plan will be contributed with the president for approval.
