Appreciation of Young Entrepreneurs, at World Entrepreneurship Week

KABUL- the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for the first time celebrated the entrepreneurship week with the presence of H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ms. Nahid Farid, Head of Women, Civil Society and Human Rights Committee of Parliament, Mr. Ghulam Farooq Nazari PM, Mr. Zabiullah Ziarmal, Director of the World Trade Organization in Afghanistan, Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Paiman, Vice President of the Afghanistan Chambers Federation, Mr. Rahimullah Samandar, Head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, Ms. Palwasha Oryakhil, Vice President of the Afghan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In this program, Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, emphasized that the leadership of the government and this ministry are committed to supporting the private sector, especially small enterprises and young entrepreneurs, besides, we provide the opportunity to support their business.
Mr. Ghoryani added, Ministry of Industry and Commerce is preparing a one- and five-year work plan to support small businesses and young entrepreneurs, and based on this plan, will provide the necessary facilities to support their business.
Representatives from the private sector and parliament members reminded the ministry of the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses and young entrepreneurs and asked to cooperate with these entrepreneurs and support their businesses.
To support small business and young entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has developed a five-year enterprise roadmap that covers five strategic areas.
This roadmap covers:
- infrastructure areas,
- access to markets,
- access to financial support,
- Access to new technology,
- And capacity building.
Concluding, the Ministry awarded three young entrepreneurs whom started as small entrepreneurs with little capital and were able to be successful.
