Holding the 1st online meeting of Industry Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO members

The 1st online meeting of industry ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was attended by Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Shir Ali Khan Kabir, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministers of Industry of the Russian Federation, India, Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
The online meeting focused on joint cooperation in the development of industries and investments in various sectors between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries.
Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani during this meeting said, there are good investment opportunities in Afghanistan in various sectors, especially in the industrial sector, and called on investors from SCO member states to invest in Afghanistan.
Mr. Ghoryani added, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has created and provided special facilities for foreign investors in the industrial investment sectors.
Referring to the political, economic, and transit geographical location of the country in the region, the MoIC Minister said, Afghanistan is the connection point of Central Asian and European countries to South Asia and investment in this country, especially in the transit infrastructure sector, benefits the economy of the member countries.
Meanwhile, Mr. Shir Ali Khan Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technology of the Republic of Tajikistan said that increasing the level of economic cooperation, especially joint investments in various sectors between the organization's member countries, is in the interest of the economy and trade of the region.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental organization established for multilateral security, economic and cultural cooperation, of which Afghanistan is an observer member.
