Inauguration of Herat Industrial Conference and Exhibition with the message of bringing economic prosperity in Afghanistan
HERAT- Herat Domestic Products Exhibition under the title of "Herat Industrial Conference and Exhibition" with the presence of H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Sayed Abdul Wahid Qatali, Governor of Herat, parliament members, chambers federation of trade and investment members of the Afghanistan and chamber of industries and mines head and members was inaugurated.
H.E Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, detailed the purpose of opening this exhibition, is to support domestic products and the growth of domestic industries in Afghanistan.
Mr. Ghoryani also emphasizes that, His Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan supports women in all provinces for the growth of industry and trade.
According to Mr. Ghoryani, more than 100 booths showcases their products to the public for two days in this exhibition.
To support women industrialists, the Minister of Industry and Commerce says, after this, 70% of the booths are dedicated in domestic exhibitions and 50% to foreign exhibitions to encourage women industry.
In the meantime, Herat Governor Sayed Abdul Wahid Qatali, who attended at the opening ceremony, said in the past few years, the Afghanistan government has focused on the growth of industry, especially in the field of women's trade, and now the new leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is striving to launch domestic and overseas exhibitions to transform Afghanistan from a consuming country to an exporting country.
On the other side, Mr. Hamidullah Khadem, head of the Herat Chamber of Industry, stressed that supporting domestic products and small production factories could decrease unemployment and increase investment.
The event, which was also attended by members of the leadership of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment and national businessmen, thanked the support of Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, particularly the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
