A trilateral meeting of I.E Afghanistan-Republic of Uzbekistan-Republic of Azerbaijan was held

The meeting hosted by Mr. Nooruddin Azizi acting Minister of Industry & Commerce of I.E.A, attended by Mr. Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry & Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mr. Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in which discussions over trade, investment, transportation, geological and construction materials were made.
During the meeting the parties discussed regarding business development, investment, transportation & logistical cooperation, execution of geological exploration surveys at the hydrocarbon mines & mineral, mechanism of implementation of cement production project in north of the country, regional cooperation, effective utilization of the New Silk Road, rail way, as well as the active presence of Afghanistan in Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Additionally, information regarding the existing capacity and investment opportunities in mining sector of Afghanistan, by explaining the fulfilled activities and priorities of the Afghanistan in this regard, was provided to the delegations of the aforementioned countries.
In the end, all parties agreed on creation of permanent trilateral working team, time and location of the next meeting, as well as such sessions to be continued
