Turkish Investors Eager to Invest in Afghanistan

The IEA's Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, met with a number of Turkish investors, today at noon time in his office.
During this meeting, Turkish investors indicated their interest to invest in the country's agriculture, and producing construction material sectors, as well as exporting Afghanistan's raisin to the Republic of Turkey. They requested for further information regarding Afghanistan's investment needs.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, honorable, Mr. Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, welcoming their interest to invest in Afghanistan, stated that, to facilitate and attract more investments to the country, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has established an independent department, where the investors can refer, including via online platforms, for any information they need, as well as online visas.
Mr. Mawlawi Zahid, listening to their statements, outlined the Afghanistan's investment needs according to their field of activities. He further stated, that, as per Law on Industrial Parks, the Ministry is ready to cooperate in terms of land distribution to investors.
